The Alessandro Pierre shaping workshop is a unique experience: over several days, you learn to build your own surfboard under Alessandro's direct supervision. From blank selection to final shape, you complete every step and leave with a board you built yourself.
Our workshop in Seignosse, minutes from Hossegor, is the perfect setting to learn surfboard shaping. Alessandro Pierre, a professional shaper in the Landes region of southwest France, shares his shaper's know-how in an immersive shaping course. Whether you're a curious beginner or an experienced surfer wanting to understand surfboard construction, this workshop is for you.

This workshop is open to everyone, from beginners to experienced surfers. No prior shaping experience required, just a passion for surfing and the desire to understand how a board is born.

The Program
1. Theory & Design
Understand the principles of shaping: rocker, outline, concaves, rails. Alessandro helps you design the ideal board for your body type and surfing style.
2. Shaping
You shape your board using the workshop's professional tools. Alessandro guides you step by step, from rough shaping to finishing touches.
3. Glassing & Finishing
Fiberglass lamination, sanding, and finishing. You can customize the design and colors of your board.
4. Your Board
At the end of the workshop, you leave with your own surfboard: unique, built by your hands, under the supervision of a professional shaper.

Can I choose the board model to build?
Yes, you define the model, dimensions and design of your board with Alessandro. He advises you based on your body type, level and usual surf conditions.
What should I bring to the workshop?
Nothing special: all materials and tools are provided (foam blank, epoxy resin, fiberglass, fins). Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes.
Where exactly does the workshop take place?
The workshop takes place at the World Shapes studio at 4 Porte de Laubian, 40510 Seignosse, 5 minutes from Hossegor. The studio is fully equipped with professional shaping tools.
When do the next shaping workshops take place?
